With a neoprene O-ring sealed tongue-and-groove fitted lid it is also dust-proof and seals flawlessly. This case also has an Automatic Purge Valve with a GORE-TEX® film that will release the air pressure from inside but keeps moisture out. This will allow the case to be opened in high altitudes without vacuum lock.

Pelican’s new patented easy to open double throw latches combine the force of a C-clamp with a secondary pry bar action so that the lid will lock tightly but releases with just a light pull. The hinges and handles have stainless steel pins for a lifetime of trouble free usage. A Pelican Handgun case can be scratched, but the strong and durable Ultra High Impact structural co-polymer is very scratch resistant. This material can also become stained but it is highly stain resistant, chemical resistant and corrosion resistant.

The Pelican Personal Handgun cases are also lockable with a customer-provided lock and have a nameplate that can be custom engraved after purchase. These cases are wheeled with durable polyurethane wheels that have nylon hubs and steel bearings for exceptionally easy transport.

The interior of a Pelican Personal Handgun case comes standard with the exclusive pre-scored Pick ‘N’ Pluck closed cell Polyurethane foam. All of the equipment you wish to carry in your new case is distributed about on the foam until it is in a suitable arrangement. Then the pre-scored foam underneath your equipment is removed, leaving a void for the equipment to be placed snugly and securely into. There should still be ample room around the equipment for amenities such as ear protectors, etc.
